Rose & Kate - 1877
Dodd, Mead, & Company
Hardcover. Red faux leather with black stamped lettering and inset picture; light rubbing to all edges, corners bumped. Cover shows expected wear due to age. Text is overall clean and bright. Detailed black and white illustrations throughout. A wonderful storybook containing two separate stories.

A charming 1877 edition of Rose & Kate, published by Dodd, Mead & Company, offering a beautiful glimpse into late-19th-century literary craftsmanship. This antique volume features the quiet elegance characteristic of Victorian publishing, with period typography, aged paper, and the gentle patina that only time can create.

The book retains its historic character, showing expected signs of age such as toning to pages, light wear to the cover, and minor structural delicacy consistent with a piece of this era. These elements are considered part of its authenticity and collectible appeal rather than defects.

A lovely addition for collectors of antique literature, decorative library styling, or those who appreciate the tactile romance of 19th-century books. Equally suited for display, study, or incorporation into a thoughtfully curated home.
