A striking promise of what’s to come, this Magnificum x (Verde x Forgetii) Anthurium seedling is a rare and intriguing addition to any peculiar collection. Bred from a lineage of velvety magnificence and refined form, each plant carries the potential for dramatic foliage—broad, textured leaves with the possibility of deep sinus shaping and luminous veining as it matures.

Pictured here in 3 inch pots, each seedling arrives with at least two established leaves (often more), already displaying early character and vigor. These young plants are actively growing, supported by robust, well-developed root systems that ensure a smooth transition into their new environment.

These plants have been raised from seed by Peculiar Botany, and as such, individual parent plants were not documented photographically. This means each seedling carries its own unique expression of the cross, adding to the individuality and unpredictability that make seed-grown anthuriums especially sought after.

Each seedling will be selected at random at the discretion of Peculiar Botany. While preference will be given to those who request specific characteristics, fulfillment is not guaranteed due to availability.

Perfect for collectors who appreciate the beauty of transformation, this hybrid invites you to witness its evolution firsthand—each new leaf a quiet reveal of its genetic story.

As a token of our appreciation, every plant purchase includes a complimentary surprise cutting, selected at the discretion of Peculiar Botany. While most offerings are common varieties, the occasional rare specimen may find its way into your order. Due to the nature of this offering, requests or substitutions cannot be accommodated—half the magic lies in the mystery.

Grown with intention and ready to thrive, this is not just a plant, but the beginning of something extraordinary.

  _________________________

This offering consists of a live botanical specimen, thoughtfully cultivated and carefully prepared for shipment. As a living organism, each plant is inherently unique and may display natural variation in size, shape, coloration, and minor cosmetic imperfections such as blemishes, leaf wear, or transport stress. These are normal characteristics of live plants and not considered defects. Please review all photographs and descriptions carefully, as the plant shown represents the exact specimen or quality you will receive.

All plants are shipped bare-root and are professionally packed with horticultural care, using methods designed to protect roots, retain moisture, and minimize stress during transit. However, once a plant has been transferred to the shipping carrier and tracking has been issued, conditions during transit are beyond our control. We cannot guarantee handling practices, transit duration, temperature fluctuations, delays, or environmental exposure that may impact the plant’s condition upon arrival.

Tracking information is always provided. The purchaser assumes responsibility for monitoring delivery status and ensuring timely retrieval, as prolonged exposure to heat, cold, or confinement in packaging can affect plant health.

Upon arrival, it is normal for plants to exhibit temporary signs of transit stress, including slight wilting, yellowing, or minor leaf damage. Given proper care and acclimation, most plants recover quickly.

If a plant arrives in severely compromised condition, notification must be made in writing within 48 hours of confirmed delivery, accompanied by clear photographs of:

  • The plant in its entirety
  • Close-up of any damage
  • Interior packaging
  • Exterior packaging
  • Shipping label
  • Unboxing documentation (when available)

Failure to provide timely and complete documentation may void eligibility for claim review.

Optional shipping insurance is available upon request prior to purchase and is strongly recommended, particularly during periods of extreme weather.

All plant sales are final. Due to the perishable and variable nature of live botanicals:

  • Returns, exchanges, and refunds are not accepted
  • Cosmetic imperfections or minor transit stress are not grounds for return
  • Damage resulting from improper care, delayed retrieval, or environmental conditions after delivery is the buyer’s responsibility

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that:

  • You have reviewed all listing images and descriptions carefully
  • You understand the inherent variability and fragility of live plants
  • You accept responsibility for proper care, acclimation, and environmental conditions upon arrival
  • You agree to these terms in full

We welcome inquiries prior to purchase and are happy to provide additional guidance on care, shipping considerations, or combined orders.
