A study in remembrance and quiet devotion, this singular piece draws from the intimate language of Victorian hairwork—where strands once belonging to the living were tenderly reformed into keepsakes of enduring presence. Within a slender 1×4" glass cloche, real donated human hair has been meticulously shaped into five (5) delicate pinwheels, reminiscent of unfurling petals or small, preserved blooms caught mid-breath.

Each filament curves with a softness that feels both organic and intentional, echoing the gestures of botanical form while retaining the unmistakable humanity of its origin. Crowned with a black bow at the neck of the cloche, the composition takes on a subtle air of mourning dress; restrained, reverent, and quietly adorned.

Handmade by Peculiar Botany, this piece is not a specimen in the traditional sense, but rather a meditation on transformation: the body rendered into ornament, memory into structure. As with all such works, slight variations and natural shifts may occur over time, a gentle reminder of the living material from which it was formed.
